우리투데이 이동현 기자 | 개천절민족공동행사준비위원회(대회장 원행 조계종 전 총무원장)는 개천절인 10월 3일 독립문 순국선열사당에서 <단기4358년(2025)년 개천절민족공동행사>를 개최했다.
“단군이 나라를 세운 개천절이 건국절”이라고 개천절의 의미를 밝히는 개천절위원회는 39년간 개천절 천제를 거행하고, 26년째 남북이 함께 개천절민족공동행사를 개최한 단군민족평화통일협의회가 함께하며, 격변하는 한반도 정세 속에, 민족의 생일인 개천절을 맞아 국민통합과 민족화합을 위해 종단과, 독립운동진영, 민족·시민사회진영 등 120여 단체가 참여하고, 시민들이 축하공연을 했다.
특히 이날, 일제 강점기 독립전쟁으로 10만이 돌아가신 대종교를 비롯하여 33개 종단, 종교인, 정신문화인들이 모인 <한민족종교인협의회>(이하 “한종협”)가 출범했다. (※출범선언문 첨부)
“단군조선은 사해(四海)의 공도(公都)요, 제민족(諸民族)의 공복(公僕)이다”
라는 <단군세기>의 말씀을 기치로 내걸고 시작하는 한종협은 종교, 종교인, 정신문화인들이 함께 하는 협의체로, 출범선언문에서 “제 교단과 함께 연대·연합하여 민족구원과 인류 구제, 구원의 길에 함께 동참하여, 세계종교의 중심으로 나설 것”이라며, “민족과 인류사에 모든 종교, 사상, 정신문화를 정립하여 민족과 인류 구원의 길에 나설 것”이라고 설립 목적을 밝혔다.
개천절위원회는 “소외된 종교나 종교인, 정신문화인 없이 모두가 존중받는 종교협의체가 반만년 민족의 생일, 개천절에 출범하는 것을 축하한다”고 밝히고, “내년 개천절은 단군민족 모두 단군릉에서 개천제를 지내자”고 밝혔다.

존경하는 국민여러분!
단군왕검께서 홍익인간 이화세계 이념으로 고조선을 건국한 민족의 거룩한 경축일 개천절을 맞아, 대종교와 단군교단, 동학계 교단, 증산계 교단을 비롯한 30여 교단을 대표하는 이들이 이 자리에 모였습니다.
반만년 역사 속에 면면히 이어지며, 하늘과 자연, 인간을 공경하고 조화로운 세상을 이어온 한민족은, 오늘 고통스러운 분단 80년을 넘어 민족의 화해와 평화로운 통일을 지향하고 성취하는 길에 나섰습니다.
21세기가 희망과 광명의 세계가 아니라, 세계 도처에서 일어나는 우크라이나-러시아 전쟁, 중동에서 끊임없이 살육을 벌이는 이스라엘-하마스 전쟁 등, 전 인류가 전쟁의 참화 속에 있는 신냉전 신암흑의 시대임을 직시하고,
한반도 한민족의 평화로운 통일과 광명의 길을 열어나가야 할 절체절명의 시점에서,
하늘이 무심치 않아 30여 교단 지도자들이 뜻을 모아 한민족과 인류 참극을 방지하고 세계적인 재난과 재해, 펜데믹 괴질로부터 안전하고 평화롭게 공동 번영의 새로운 길을 열고, 지구촌 인류가 함께 공존 상생의 길을 여는 데 함께하기로 하였습니다.
실로 지나온 20세기를 돌아보면, 국가 간 적자생존의 논리에 따라 약육강식의 끊임없는 갈등과 분쟁, 전쟁을 겪고도 국제사회는 반성과 각성 없이 무한 경쟁과 수탈의 역사였습니다.
21세기 새로운 시대에도, 인류는 기후위기, 국가간의 분쟁으로 인한 전쟁, 인종전쟁, 자원쟁탈을 극복하고 새로운 광명의 시대를 열어야 함에도 열지 못하고 있습니다.
이제 인류사에 한없는 대암흑기를 맞닥뜨리며 한민족은 본래 하늘로부터 부여받은 소명과 사명감으로 일어서야 합니다.
지금은 정부와 언론, 경제, 학계, 모든 지식인들이 나서야 할 때입니다.
이에 먼저 우리 한민족종교인들이 한반도의 평화정책, 나아가 인류 구제, 구원의 소명을 자각하고,
<檀君朝鮮은 四海의 公都이자 諸民族의 公僕이다>라는 단군세기의 하늘 가르침을 절감하며,
남·북·해외 8천만 겨레의 각성과, 대재난 앞에 선 전 인류 앞에, 홍익인간 이화세계 진리로 희망과 대광명의 길을 제시하며, 하늘과 사람, 자연, 천·지·인의 조화로운 천부의 진리 세계가 구현될 수 있는 길을 열어갈 것입니다.
이에 일제 36년 무단통치 속에 우리 한민족 고유 정신과 사상을 말살하려한 일제 총독부를 거치며, 미군정 하에서부터 시작되어 지금까지 이어져온 민족 고유 정신과 민족종교 경시정책에 의해, 광복 이후 80여 년간 신음하는 전국에 있는 민족종교 고유종교인들의 각성과 분발이 요구됩니다. 이 땅에서 나온 민족종교와 고유종교가 이 나라 이땅의 주인역할을 해야합니다! 그 출발이 오늘부터 입니다!
따라서 단군교단, 각세도교단, 증산교단, 수운교단을 비롯한 유도계와 동학계, 단군계, 정역계, 증산계, 각세도계, 물법계 민족종교 고유종교인들이 한민족종교인협의회에 참여하여, 제 교단과 함께 연대·연합하여 민족 구원과 인류 구제, 구원의 길에 함께 동참하여, 세계종교의 중심으로 나설 것을 정중히 요청드리는 바입니다.
우리민족이 가진 홍익인간 이화세계 정신, 인내천 사상, 해원상생 사상과 정신은 서로 상통조화하여 통합된 사상과 정신으로, 민족과 인류 구원에 나설 것을 다시 한 번 간곡히 호소합니다!
그 길에서 한민족종교인협의회가 민족과 인류사에 모든 종교·사상·정신문화를 정립하여 민족과 인류 구원의 길에 나설 것을 천명하며,

The National Foundation Day Joint Event Preparatory Committee (Chairman Wonhaeng, former Chief Administrator of the Jogye Order) held the <National Foundation Day Joint Event for the Year 4358 of the Korean Era (2025)> at the Independence Gate Martyrs' Shrine on October 3rd, National Foundation Day.
The Gaecheonjeol Committee, which clarifies the meaning of Gaecheonjeol as “the founding day of the nation when Dangun established the country,” has performed the Gaecheonjeol Heavenly Ritual for 39 years. Together with the Dangun National Peace and Unification Council, which has co-hosted the Gaecheonjeol National Joint Event with North Korea for the 26th consecutive year, and amid the turbulent situation on the Korean Peninsula, the event was held to promote national unity and ethnic harmony on Gaecheonjeol, the nation's birthday. It was attended by religious orders, independence movement groups, and civic groups, with citizens performing celebratory performances.
Notably, the Korean Religious Leaders Council (hereafter “Korean Religious Council”), comprising 33 religious denominations, religious figures, and spiritual cultural leaders—including the Daejonggyo religion, which lost 100,000 members during the independence war against Japanese colonial rule—was launched on this day. “Dangun Joseon is the common capital of the four seas and the common servant of all peoples.”
Proclaiming this passage from the <Dangun Segi> as its banner, the Council begins as a consultative body uniting religions, religious figures, and spiritual cultural figures. In its founding declaration, it states: “We will unite and collaborate with all religious denominations to participate together in the path of national salvation and the salvation of humanity, stepping forward as the center of world religions.” It further stated its founding purpose: “We will establish all religions, ideologies, and spiritual cultures within the history of our nation and humanity, stepping forward on the path to the salvation of our nation and humanity.”
The Gaecheonjeol Committee stated, “We celebrate the launch of a religious consultative body where all are respected, without marginalizing any religion, religious figure, or spiritual cultural figure, on Gaecheonjeol, the birthday of our 5,000-year-old nation,” and proposed, “Next year on Gaecheonjeol, let all members of the Dangun nation perform the Gaecheonje ritual at Dangun's Tomb.”

Respected fellow citizens!
On this sacred national holiday, Gaecheonjeol, commemorating the founding of Gojoseon by Dangun Wanggeom with the ideals of Hongik Ingan (benefiting all humanity) and Iwa Segye (creating a world of harmony), representatives from over 30 religious denominations, including Daejonggyo, Dangun religious groups, Donghak-based denominations, and Jeungsan-based denominations, have gathered here.
The Korean people, whose lineage has been continuously preserved throughout five thousand years of history, honoring heaven, nature, and humanity while fostering a harmonious world, have now embarked on the path to achieve national reconciliation and peaceful reunification, overcoming eighty painful years of division.
We must recognize that the 21st century is not a world of hope and light, but an era of a new Cold War and a new dark age, where all humanity is engulfed in the devastation of war—witnessed in the Ukraine-Russia war and the relentless slaughter of the Israel-Hamas war in the Middle East.
At this critical juncture, where we must open the path to peaceful unification and light for the Korean people on the Korean Peninsula,
Heaven has not been indifferent. Leaders from over 30 religious denominations have united their wills to prevent the tragedy of the Korean people and humanity, to open a new path of safe, peaceful, and shared prosperity away from global disasters, calamities, and pandemic plagues, and to join together in opening a path of coexistence and mutual prosperity for all humanity in the global village.
Indeed, looking back on the 20th century, the international community endured endless conflicts, disputes, and wars driven by the logic of survival of the fittest among nations. Yet, it was a history of endless competition and exploitation, devoid of reflection or awakening.
Even in this new era of the 21st century, humanity has failed to overcome the climate crisis, wars caused by inter-state conflicts, racial wars, and resource struggles to usher in a new era of light.
Now, as humanity faces an endless dark age in its history, the Korean people must rise with the calling and sense of mission originally bestowed upon them by Heaven.
Now is the time for governments, media, economies, academia, and all intellectuals to step forward.
Therefore, we, the religious leaders of the Korean people, must first awaken to our calling for peace on the Korean Peninsula and, further, for the salvation and redemption of humanity.
Deeply realizing the heavenly teaching from the Dangun Segi that <Dangun Joseon is the public capital of the four seas and the public servant of all peoples>,
We will present the path of hope and great light to the awakening of the 80 million people of South, North, and overseas, and to all humanity facing great calamity, through the truth of Hongik Ingan (Benefiting All Humankind) and Iwa Segye (Creating a World of Harmony). We will open the way for the realization of a harmonious world of Heavenly Truth, where Heaven, humanity, nature, and the principles of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity are in perfect harmony.
Thus, we demand the awakening and vigorous efforts of the adherents of indigenous religions and ethnic religions across the nation, who have groaned for over 80 years since liberation. This is due to the policies of contempt for our ethnic spirit and ethnic religions, which began under the Japanese colonial government's brutal 36-year rule aimed at annihilating the Korean people's unique spirit and ideology, and continued under the US military government until now. The indigenous religions born of this land must fulfill their role as the masters of this nation and this land! That journey begins today!
Therefore, indigenous religious practitioners from the Dangun sect, Gakse sect, Jeungsan sect, Suun sect, as well as the Confucianism-based, Donghak-based, Dangun-based, the Jeongyeok sect, Jeungsan sect, Gakseudo sect, and Mulbeop sect—are respectfully requested to participate in the Korean National Religious Council. We urge you to unite and collaborate with your respective sects to join the path of national salvation and human liberation, stepping forward as the center of world religions.
We earnestly appeal once more that the spirit of Hongik Ingan (Benefiting All Humankind), the philosophy of Ihwa Segye (Creating a Harmonious World), the thought of Innaecheon (Heaven is Within Man), and the principles of Haewon Sangsaeng (Resolving Grievances and Mutual Prosperity) – inherent to our people – harmonize and integrate into a unified ideology and spirit to embark on the path of national and human salvation!
On this path, the Korean Religious Leaders Council proclaims that it will establish all religions, ideologies, and spiritual cultures within the history of our nation and humanity, and embark on the path to save our nation and humanity.

開天節民族共同活動籌備委員會（大會長 圓行 曹溪宗前總務院長）於開天節10月3日在獨立門殉國先烈祠堂舉辦《檀國紀元4358年（2025年）開天節民族共同活動》。
開天節委員會闡明「檀君建國之開天節即建國節」的意義，該委員會已連續39年舉行開天節天祭，並與連續26年共同舉辦南北開天節民族共同活動的檀君民族和平統一協議會攜手合作。值此民族誕辰開天節之際，面對劇變的韓半島局勢，為促進國民團結與民族和合，本次活動匯聚了宗派團體、獨立運動陣營、 民族·公民社會陣營等逾120團體參與，並由市民獻上慶祝表演。
當日特別成立由大宗教（日帝強占期獨立戰爭中逾十萬信徒殉難）等33個宗教團體、宗教人士及精神文化工作者組成的《韓民族宗教人協議會》（以下簡稱「韓宗協」）。（※附成立宣言）

以《檀君世紀》此言為旗幟成立的韓宗協，作為宗教、宗教人士及精神文化工作者共同參與的協商體，於成立宣言中 「將與各教團攜手連帶、聯合，共同參與民族救贖與人類救濟之道，邁向世界宗教中心」，並宣告設立宗旨為「於民族與人類歷史中確立所有宗教、思想、精神文化，投身民族與人類救贖之路」。
開天節委員會表示：「慶賀這個沒有被邊緣化的宗教、宗教人士或精神文化人士，人人皆受尊重的宗教協商體，於五千年民族誕辰——開天節之際正式成立」，並呼籲：「明年開天節，願全體檀君民族同聚檀君陵舉行開天祭」。

尊敬的國民諸位！
值此檀君王檢以弘益人間、利化世界之理念建國古朝鮮的民族聖節開天節之際，代表大宗教、檀君教團、東學系教團、增山系教團等三十餘教團的代表齊聚於此。
在五千年歷史長河中綿延不絕，始終敬天愛地、敬重自然、崇尚人道、締造和諧世界的韓民族，今日已跨越痛苦的八十年分裂歲月，邁向民族和解與和平統一的目標。
我們必須清醒認識：二十一世紀並非充滿希望與光明的世界，而是全球各地爆發烏克蘭-俄羅斯戰爭、中東持續上演以色列-哈馬斯屠戮等衝突，全人類深陷戰爭浩劫的新冷戰、新黑暗時代。
值此韓半島民族亟需開創和平統一與光明之路的生死存亡之際，
上天未曾漠視，三十餘個教派領袖齊聚共識，決意阻止韓民族與人類的悲劇，共同開創安全和平、免於全球災厄與瘟疫侵襲的新共榮之路，引領地球村人類邁向共存共榮的未來。
回顧走過的二十世紀，國際社會在國家間弱肉強食的生存法則下，歷經無盡衝突、爭端與戰爭，卻未曾反思覺醒，終成無限競爭與掠奪的歷史。
即便邁入二十一世紀新紀元，人類仍未能克服氣候危機、國家間衝突引發的戰爭、種族衝突與資源爭奪，開啟嶄新的光明時代。
此刻人類歷史正迎來無盡的黑暗紀元，韓民族必須憑藉上天賦予的使命與責任感挺身而起。
此刻正是政府、媒體、經濟界、學術界及所有知識分子挺身而出之時。
為此，我們韓民族宗教人士率先覺悟到肩負著朝鮮半島和平政策乃至拯救全人類的使命，
深刻體悟《檀君世紀》中「檀君朝鮮乃四海公都，諸民族公僕」的天命教誨，
為南北海外八千萬同胞的覺醒，以及面臨大災難的全人類，以弘益人間、開化世界的真理指引希望與大光明之路，開創天人合一、天地人調和之天賦真理世界的實踐之道。
值此之際，歷經日帝三十六年武斷統治下企圖扼殺韓民族固有精神與思想的日本總督府時期，乃至美軍政時期延續至今的民族固有精神與民族宗教輕視政策，要求光復後八十餘年來呻吟於全國的民族宗教固有宗教信徒們覺醒奮起。這片土地孕育的民族宗教與固有宗教，理應擔負起這國度這片土地的主人角色！其起點正是從今日開始！
因此，以檀君教團、各世道教團、增山教團、水運教團為首的道教界與東學界、檀君界、 正易系、增山系、各世道系、物法系等民族宗教與固有宗教人士，誠摯邀請各位參與韓民族宗教人協議會，攜手各教團團結聯合，共同投身民族救贖與人類救濟之道，邁向世界宗教中心。
我們民族所秉持的「弘益人間・利化世界」精神、「人乃天」思想、「解怨相生」思想與精神，將相互交融調和為整合的思想與精神，再次懇切呼籲為民族與人類救贖而挺身而出！
在此道路上，韓民族宗教人協議會鄭重宣告：將為民族與人類歷史確立所有宗教、思想、精神文化，投身民族與人類救贖之途。
今日在此眾人面前，鄭重宣告韓民族宗教人協議會正式成立！
