우리투데이 이동현 기자 |  제9회 세계 경찰무도 한마음대회가 10월 26일 대덕대학교 체육관에서는 쌍검투, 품새, 스피드발차기와 3D영상사격장에서는 사격 경기가 벌어지는 등 다채로운 모습을 보여주며 성황리에 끝냈다.

쌍검투는 무협이나 게임에서 주로 사용되는 쌍수(두 자루의 검) 무기를 사용하는 전투 스타일을 의미하며 주로 빠른 공격과 연속 공격, 다양한 무기술 활용이 특징인데 무거운 무기나 쌍절곤 등과는 달리, 쌍검투는 가볍고 연속적인 동작이 요구되어 적응이 쉽지 않다는 의견도 있는데 이날 초.중.고등학생들의 진지한 모습으로 인상 깊었다.

체육관에서의 쌍검투가 진행되는 가운데 3D영상사격장에서는 동시에 사격 경기가 벌어졌는데 성인도 어려운 영상 사격을 초.중.고등학생들이 해내는 모습에 뒤에서 지켜보는 학부모들은 한발 한발에 긴장하는 모습을 보이기도 했다.

이날 제9회 세계 경찰무도 한마음대회를 준비한 대한민국 경찰무도협회 장현이 회장은 "오늘은 일요일임에도 불구하고 많은 대회 관계자들의 도움으로 무사히 성대하게 대회를 마치게 됐다"라며, "대회를 위해 자기 일처럼 애써주신 모든 분들에게 감사를 드린다"고 소감을 밝혔다.

더불어민주당 박정현 국회의원(대전 대덕구)은 축전을 통해 "경찰무도의 세계화와 상호 교류의 장을 마련하신 대한민국경찰무도협회 장현이 회장님 및 준비 관계자 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다"라며, "오늘 제9회 세계 경찰무도 한마음대회가 무도인들의 기량을 빛내고 상호 준중과 협력의 정신으로 더욱 발전하는 계기가 되기를 기원하고 응원한다"고 밝혔다.

개막식에서는 세계경찰무도협회 김대성 사무국장 사회로 세계경찰무도협회 공영훈 부회장의 개회선언을 시작으로 선수 대표 선언에는 박서정(삼우태권도)과 최민호(서오태권도), 신판 선서에는 최정열,김경현 두명이 선서를 마쳤다.

또한 국회의원상 수상에는 이강웅(솔밭태권도), 박영조(삼우태권도), 김대성 사무국장, 최정렬(연세태권도), 지우근, 김리윤, 박장수(부산검도) 총 7명이 수상했으며, 연맹 총재상은 윤태건 연맹 상임이사가 조태현, 김선옥, 김승원 3명에게 시상했다.

한편 대덕대학교는 대전광역시 유성구 가정북로 68에 위치해 있으며 1981년 故 정곡 성주련 선생님의 ‘진실한 사람, 유능한 일꾼, 선량한 민주시민을 길러낸다’는 육영의지로 설립된 이래, ‘미래를 선도하는 최우수 직업교육중심 대학’으로의 변화와 성장을 거듭하면서 학교의 브랜드 가치를 높여가고 있다.

대덕대학교를 설립한 정곡 성주련 설립이사장은 대전시청 사회과장(1946-1953), 창성학원 의숙 설립(1945.10.16), 대전고등공민학교 설립(1948.4.1), 대전가정여학교 설립(1953.3.14), 대전고등공민학교와 대전가정여학교를 총합하여 대전상업고등학교로 교명변경(1954.2.27), 대전시의회 의원, 의장(1954-1956), 재단법인 창성학원 설립(1955.1.14), 충남상업고등학교(현 대전중앙고등학교)설립(1955.3.10), 대전중앙중학교 설립(1956.2.13), 충청남도 의회 의원(1957), 대전여자상업고등학교 설립(1959.2.23), 대전중앙여자중학교 설립(1960.2.3), 사단법인 대한사립중고등학교 연합회 중앙회 감사 및 이사(1963.5.10-1976.7.15), 충남사립중고등학교장회 회장 및 대전시 사립중고등학교장회 회장(1965.5.19-1976.7.15), 사단법인 한국사학재단연합회 중앙회 이사(1976.6.5-1981.8), 충남경상전문대학(현 대덕대학) 설립(1980.12.11)하게 됐다.
수상은 1980년 12월 5일 대통령 표창 국민훈장(목련장)을 받았다.

The 9th World Police Martial Arts Unity Festival concluded successfully on October 26 at Daedeok University Gymnasium, showcasing diverse events including dual-sword combat, poomsae, speed kicking, and shooting competitions at the 3D shooting range.
Dual sword fighting refers to a combat style using dual swords (two blades), commonly seen in martial arts novels or games. Characterized by rapid attacks, continuous strikes, and diverse sword techniques, it differs from heavier weapons or nunchaku in that it demands lightness and fluid, continuous movements, making adaptation challenging. The earnest dedication displayed by the elementary, middle, and high school students that day was particularly impressive.
While the dual-sword combat unfolded in the gymnasium, a shooting competition simultaneously took place in the 3D video shooting range. Parents watching from behind appeared tense with each shot as elementary, middle, and high school students tackled the challenging video shooting, a task difficult even for adults.

Chairman Jang Hyun-i of the Korea Police Martial Arts Association, who prepared the 9th World Police Martial Arts One Heart Festival, stated, “Despite it being Sunday, we successfully concluded this grand event thanks to the help of many officials,” adding, “I extend my gratitude to everyone who worked as if it were their own task for this competition.”

In a congratulatory message, Representative Park Jeong-hyeon of the Democratic Party of Korea (Daedeok District, Daejeon) stated, “I deeply thank Chairman Jang Hyeon-i of the Korea Police Martial Arts Association and all preparatory staff for providing a platform for the globalization of police martial arts and mutual exchange.”
He added, “I hope and cheer for today's 9th World Police Martial Arts Unity Festival to be an opportunity to showcase the skills of martial artists and to further develop through the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation.”

The opening ceremony, hosted by Kim Dae-sung, Secretary General of the World Police Martial Arts Association, began with the opening declaration by Gong Young-hoon, Vice President of the World Police Martial Arts Association. Athlete representatives Park Seo-jeong (Samwoo Taekwondo) and Choi Min-ho (Seo-o Taekwondo) made the athletes' pledge, while Choi Jeong-yeol and Kim Kyung-hyun delivered the new members' oath.

Additionally, the National Assembly Member Awards were presented to a total of seven recipients: Lee Kang-woong (Solbat Taekwondo), Park Young-jo (Samwoo Taekwondo), Secretary General Kim Dae-sung, Choi Jeong-ryeol (Yonsei Taekwondo), Ji Woo-geun, Kim Ri-yun, and Park Jang-su (Busan Kendo).
presented by Federation Standing Director Yoon Tae-geon to three recipients: Jo Tae-hyun, Kim Seon-ok, and Kim Seung-won.
